Note the irrational rage a mere tshirt can spark among the religious nut jobs. People so secure in their faith they lash out at any sort of criticism and call it stupid, question the quality of life the person criticizing has, and ad hominem like there's no tomorrow. Surely these believers in the word of god have nothing to feel insecure about?

Offensive? really Did you get your science major on eBay or something? I'm not sure what science you are studying, but that shirt doesn't spout someones spiteful opinion.. Its the truth. Hard blunt facts. If the terrorists that committed 9/11 weren't religious, then it wouldn't have even happened. You only say the text is offensive because you are afraid of the truth, you are afraid of change and are too naive to even think straight.

It's written in the wrong language.

As the above comments show, this shirt tends to elicit strong responses on both sides. Good. Having a conversation (however inane) is preferable to ignoring the existence of other worldviews and sheltering yourself from critical thought.

To the dumbasses saying this has nothing to do with an Atheist t-shirt: Yes It does. Richard Dawkins has used this sentence in some of his debates and it has become an Atheist call to arms. To the even more dumbasses saying Atheism is a religion: So NOT believing a god makes it so you have a religion? Well then Christianity is least 3 religions. One for believing your god, one for not believing Ala, one for not believing Zeus. Pathetic thought.

Best T-shirt out there

This shirt is great, and makes a very good point. I can see how many people were perturbed by the simple fact by reading some of the comments. <br /> <br /> I just hope some of the people who commented don't get their hands on a plane! :D

This product hits the nail on the head! So many things are done in the names of religions that violate the beliefs of the very religions the culprit intend to support!

Atheists = people who spend their lives trying to prove others wrong. WiNnErS!!! xDDDD get a REAL life.

The word science comes from the Latin "scientia," timeaning knowledge. According to Webster's New Collegiate Diconary, the definition of science is "knowledge attained through study or practice," or "knowledge covering general truths of the operation of general laws, esp. as obtained and tested through scientific method [and] concerned with the physical world." Religion pulls people apart more than it brings them together...

I might add that science is responsible for the holocaust, the massive death tolls of the two world wars, nuclear/chemical/biological weapons, and horribly processed foods like SPAM (the last one is provided for comic relief). Religion without science fails to progress, and we fail to meet our potential. Science without religion lacks substantive ethics/morals and overruns our humanity and disregards the dignity of the human person (again, see the warfare and pain of the 20th and 21st centuries).

OK, so both those statements are wrong in every ways. Something along the lines of "Science helps you stage a shoddy, unconvincing fake moon landing, and the Bush administration flies you into buildings" would be more appropriate. It may not have the same ring to it, but at least it's slightly closer to the truth than your deluded bullshit

Ernie Pyle was not the creator of that quote, and the quote is the most ridiculous garbage I have ever heard. Try telling that BS to Pat Tillman (if he was still alive) and his family. Many astronauts did hold religious convictions, but there are those who didn't. Regardless of their religious beliefs, the Science behind it all decided that they needed to go to the moon and show them how. Religion on the other hand, tells people to be intolerant of each other and as a result to kill them in any way possible (even if it means flying planes into buildings).
