i was born in san diego, california, and now live in tokyo, japan. photography and art are my passions, and there's nothing i'd rather do.

i tend toward the dark (literally and figuratively), but not always. the most important consideration for me is whether the image is interesting to look at or not. i think of myself as a cynical optimist. in other words, everything sucks, but it's constantly getting better (or at least, it has the potential to get better).
