NAUNA comes from ‘Na una’ – a phrase used in some parts of Africa. In the context used in this website, it means “you’re the people” which is similar to “you’re the man”. It’s a way of giving complements to the website members for being a very resourceful people and so, kudos to you.
The logo of the website features a palm tree. In Africa, a palm tree is a great resource – different parts of it are used for different products and little waste comes of it. Historically and in different cultures, palm fronds are also a sign of revitalization. It is our hope that communities will be revitalized as a result of the participation of individuals in this website.
The slogan of the website is “Connect to Success”. The aim of the website is to provide effective methods of enabling members to express the talent they were blessed with in a way that can be admired by others.
