2027 Samurai Calendar | Japanese Art Four Seasons カレンダー

Twelve months of Japan through the eyes of a lone samurai in black lacquered armor. January: snow-laden pine, plum blossoms and a golden sunrise. February: a quiet snowfield with tall red banners. March: crimson plum blossoms and fresh spring grass. April: cherry blossoms and a vermilion bridge in the mist. May: irises and carp streamers for the Boys' Festival. June: hydrangeas in the rain. July: lotus flowers by a stone bridge under summer clouds. August: a great curling wave on a rocky shore. September: red spider lilies in the autumn mist. October: golden rice fields and red dragonflies. November: golden ginkgo leaves and a vermilion torii gate. December: a snowy bell tower on New Year's Eve. The cover shows the samurai before a rising sun, Mount Fuji and two cranes. Each month is a washi-paper woodblock style illustration in a bold palette of black, vermilion, gold and indigo.
