American Gothic was an iconic painting by the American artist Grant Wood. Models for the original painting were his sister and his dentist. Many people who have seen the original painting often mistake the two subjects as husband and wife. I have given this classic painting an updated twist by adding a lively character in colorful clothing, a bald head, and curlers.
