Black is to play and tries to draw, whereas white is to win. Black cannot win here. The present picture shows the 64 main squares where the bK is placed, followed by the wR and at the smallest the bB. The colored fields (pixels), no matter if green or red, indicate that there is a winning position for the wK as variable. I.e. the wK would have to be placed favorably (any square will do). If there is no winning position, this field appears grey. Nowadays there are databases for up to 7 pieces, but you only look up single positions instead of sets...
