The term "Foundational Black Americans" (FBA) refers to the descendants of formerly enslaved Black people in the United States. People who are direct descendants of the Freedmen in the United States. These are also the descendants of people who fought and won Civil Rights in the United States so that not only Black People but all people can have equal access to the American Dream.
