This design features the national flag of Singapore (officially known as the Republic of Singapore), which is a sovereign island city-state in Southeast Asia. Singapore is off the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula. Singapore borders the Straits of Malacca to the west, the Riau Islands to the south and the South China Sea to the east. Singapore has one of the highest population densities of any country in the world. Singapore has four official languages: English, Malay, Chinese and Tamil.
