Jade is one of the three winners from the 2025 CUAA Art Contest. "My name is Jade Marin and I am a second year student at CalPoly Humboldt, majoring in wildlife conservation with a minor in music. I love animals and am passionate about sustaining them and our climate, and have been an environmental activist through art and protests in high school, such as being part of Fridays for Future Sacramento's strikes and winning the Carbon Zero by 2030 art contest collaboration with the Office of Mayor Darrell Steinberg, SMUD, and the City of Sacramento’s Office of Climate Action. At Humboldt, I'm currently taking Wildlife 210 and it is super fun to watch nature and wildlife while talking about environmental ethics.
