Kappa Youkai with Kanji シール

This cute sticker has Japanese calligraphy for the word 河童. It means kappa. Kappa are a type of youkai that resemble a turtle. Youkai are Japanese sprits known in Japanese folklore to do all sorts of mischievous things. Kappas live in the water and are known for their love of cucumbers. They appear in much Japanese media, including anime. The calligraphy was handwritten by me on a tablet. A good gift for someone who likes Japanese culture. About kanji: A kanji is the Japanese word for Chinese character. Chinese characters represent an idea into one character. Typically, one part of the kanji is the meaning of the character, while the other gives it the sound. They are usually combined with other kanji to make complex words.
