Ken Miles Helmet ポスター
Print graphic depicting the personal crash helmet of the famous racing driver.
Kenneth Henry „Ken“ Miles, 1918 – 1966.
Miles was a British sports car racing engineer and driver. In 1952 he moved from England to the US and played a key role in the development and success of the racing versions of the Shelby Cobras as well as the Daytona Coupe and the Ford GT40. In 1966 he won the 24 Hours of Daytona, driving the GT40 Mk.II and then won the 12 Hours of Sebring. In 1966 he only missed victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, which he also clearly dominated, by 40 meters because the Ford managers asked him to wait for his teammates for publicity reasons.
Miles was denied the unique achievement of winning Sebring, Daytona and Le Mans in the same year.
In the sports car races of the mid-1960s, Ken Miles preferred this blue-black Bell helmet.
