Mercury Art Glass Christmas Ball Painted Santa 缶バッジ

I have collected vintage mercury glass Christmas ornaments for many years and they are becoming very very scarce. I thought it would be fun to share them with you. Each is carefully photographed and then the image has been added to ornaments, pillows, buttons, etc. This ball is such a classic. A hand painted Polish ball, no younger than the 30's, since that is when Coca Cola invented the 'Red Suit Santa'. I'm sure the children of the 40's and 50's who were lucky enough to have one of these on their trees felt it was one of their favorites. Small as this ball is it has a lot of detail, from the actual painting to the white vintage glitter applied to the fur and beard and giant snowflakes. I will be putting up more as I get to them but the process is slow, bear with me - I know you want a whole tree full - or in the case of pillows… a whole couch or bed full.
