Mother and Baby Animals Ukiyo-e カレンダー

Twelve tender moments between parents and their little ones, through the Japanese seasons. From snow monkeys warming up in a hot spring to a crane family standing in a quiet snowy field, Japan's wildlife lives closely with the turning of the seasons. This calendar captures those gentle family bonds in the style of traditional Japanese woodblock prints: delicate sumi ink lines, flat colors, soft gradations, and calm natural tones on a warm ecru paper base, with plenty of quiet space to let each scene breathe. What's inside: January – Snow monkeys, mother and baby, soaking in a snowy hot spring February – A Shiba Inu puppy playing in the snow as its mother watches over it March – A mother rabbit and her babies in a spring meadow April – A mother fox and her kit beneath cherry blossoms May – Swallow chicks waiting to be fed in their nest under the eaves June – A mother duck leading her ducklings past hydrangeas July – A doe and her spotted fawn in tall summer grass August – A tanuki family watching Obon lanterns float down the river September – Striped wild boar piglets foraging among chestnuts October – A mother bear catching salmon as her cub looks on November – A mother cat and kittens sunbathing on the veranda December – A crane family in a snowy field What makes it special: • No year appears in the artwork, so you can start your calendar from any month you like. • Designed in Japan. Each image was illustrated with AI, then hand-selected month by month for how well it captures the feeling of the season. • Front cover: animal families gathered beneath a great old tree. Back cover: a mother rabbit and her baby asleep under the full moon. A heartwarming gift for new parents, grandparents, Mother's Day, and anyone who loves animals and Japanese art.
