Piano Notes: Sonata Pathetique ポスター

This unique design visualizes which parts of a piano keyboard are played the most in Beethoven's famous piano piece, Sonata Pathetique and provides a wealth of information about the aural properties of this composition. Each circle represents a single key, and the size of the circle reflects how frequently that key was pressed. The horizontal location of the note correlates to the location of the key on the keyboard, and the color of the circle indicates the pitch of that key. As a former piano player myself, I really enjoyed making this project, combining my interest in data, coding, and design to "see" music in a different way!
