Pink Sakura Kanji Japanese Calligraphy ポスター

A kanji is the Japanese word for Chinese character. Chinese characters represent an idea into one character. Typically, one part of the kanji is the meaning of the character, while the other gives it the sound. They are usually combined with other kanji to make complex words. This modern poster has the Japanese calligraphy for the kanji 桜. It means cherry. When used on its own as a word, it refers to the Japanese Cherry Blossom tree (pronounced sakura.) The calligraphy was handwritten by me on a tablet. A cute pink background gives the impression of Sakura flowers, while keeping a modern style. The watercolor style background is simple yet beautiful, and doesn't take away from the gracefulness of the kanji.
