As this painting represents a transition in Spencer’s life, we hope it will also bring you peace and tranquility as Spencer’s most ambitious painting yet. In life, drama comes with death. After his Mother passed away in 2022, the family drama was still unfolding in 2023. The relationship between Spencer’s father and his sister was unwell due to on going drama. As a way to mend relationships with each other and to just spend time as a family Spencer embarked on an adventure to Bali and through South East Asia with his cousin coming along as a mediator. After that trip relationships had pretty much been mended and the drama had cooled, all after going through one of the most trying times of life. While in Bali, one of the tours took Spencer, his sister, and his cousin to the Pura Ulun Beratan Hindu Temple. His dad was unable to go because he had fallen ill. Seeing that place was one of the most tranquil places Spencer had ever seen with its lush green mountains, calm lake with pink flamingo pedal boats, beautiful flowers, and temples representative of the peaceful Hindu religion. As Spencer painted this work, he finally felt he was making significant progress toward his post college business, personal, and life goals; observing himself entering a more tranquil period in life. This painting represents that feeling of peace.
