America celebrates the Route 66 Centennial in 2026. It is the 100th anniversary of the Mother Road. Oatman, Arizona is one of the locations along Arizona's segment of historic Route 66. Also known as "Main Street of America, US Route 66 was one of the original US highways. It ran through eight states from Chicago to Los Angeles. The highway was established in 1926 the year US. numbered highways was established and it was officially removed from the US highway system in 1985 after having been replaced by the Interstate highway system. Arizona established segments of Route 66 as a national scenic byway (NSB) with the name “Historic US Route 66” in 2005. This design is only on back of this tee shirt.
