Saint John Bosco Father and Teacher of Youth ソックス
A warm and inspiring portrayal of Saint John Bosco (1815–1888), the Italian priest and educator whose life transformed the spiritual and social landscape of 19th‑century Turin. According to Vatican News, Don Bosco dedicated himself entirely to the salvation and formation of poor and abandoned youth, guided by his motto: “Da mihi animas, caetera tolle” — “Give me souls, take away the rest”.
Born on 16 August 1815 in Castelnuovo d’Asti, he grew up in poverty after the early death of his father. His natural gifts — intelligence, kindness, and a talent for engaging young people — shaped his unique educational method based on reason, religion, and loving‑kindness.
He founded the Salesians of Don Bosco and, together with Saint Mary Mazzarello, the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, creating a global network of schools, oratories, and vocational centers. Canonized in 1934, he is honored as patron of youth, students, educators, and publishers.
Ideal for inspirational prints, educational materials, church publications, and designs celebrating Christian pedagogy and pastoral care.
