Samurai Armor 2027 Wall Calendar カレンダー

Twelve suits of armor worn by the legendary warlords of Japan's Warring States period, painted in dramatic watercolor against deep black — each armor lit like a museum treasure, with its lord's name in bold vertical kanji and roman letters. January — Oda Nobunaga, the black Nanban-do armor of the great unifier, in falling snow; February — Toyotomi Hideyoshi, resplendent in gold with his towering sunburst crest, beside plum blossoms; March — Takeda Shingen, the white-maned Suwa Hossho demon helmet, with drifting cherry petals; April — Uesugi Kenshin, the Dragon of Echigo, in somber black-laced armor and cold mist; May — Date Masamune, the One-Eyed Dragon of Sendai, beneath his famous golden crescent moon; June — Sanada Yukimura, crimson armor with antlered helmet and the six-coins crest, in the summer rain; July — Naoe Kanetsugu, whose helmet bears the great golden character for "love", by festival lantern light; August — Honda Tadakatsu, the warrior who was never wounded, under towering thunderheads, his helmet crowned with giant deer antlers; September — Ii Naomasa, the Red Demon of the Tokugawa, under the harvest moon; October — Maeda Toshiie, with his tall golden catfish-tail helmet, among drifting maple leaves; November — Akechi Mitsuhide, in pale blue armor with the bellflower crest, in autumn mist; December — Tokugawa Ieyasu, the final victor, in fern-crested armor as snow falls over Edo. A striking calendar for samurai history fans, martial arts enthusiasts, and lovers of Japanese art and armor. A memorable gift for anyone fascinated by the age of the warlords.
