Smile Kanji Japanese Calligraphy Postcard シーズンポストカード

A kanji is the Japanese word for Chinese character. Chinese characters represent an idea into one character. Typically, one part of the kanji is the meaning of the character, while the other gives it the sound. They are usually combined with other kanji to make complex words. This cute postcard has Japanese calligraphy for the word 笑顔. It literally means happy face, but is more often translated as smile. 笑顔 is pronounced as "egao". The calligraphy was handwritten by me on a tablet. The watercolor style background adds a peaceful vibe without taking away from the gracefulness of the kanji.
