Yes the Strawberry Finch is a real bird and you can see why it's called the Strawberry Finch, it really does have the markings of a strawberry. This bird is also known as the Red Avadavat and is about the same size as a sparrow, I know what I'd prefer to see in my back garden. The Strawberry Finch is found in grasslands of tropical Asia and is a popular cage bird due to the beautiful plumage of the male, especially in the mating season. Strawberry Finches mostly live on grass seeds, millet and other types of grain, they also eat insects, figs and juniper berries. Their lifespan is between seven to ten years, and although they are not endangered I have created this due to its beauty and uniqueness, this will look great on any wall in the home.
