We gain strength from going through trials. In typical decks the strength card has a woman and a lion and so Dorothy and her trials immediately sprang to mind. She's standing under an arch which in arch-itecture represents strength. It's also covered in ivy which is another symbol for? You guessed it, strength. She's burned down Oz, the city of illusions, behind her and has been able to tame the beasts. The rainbow snake is a reference to a voodoo goddess. If you're familiar with the financial story of the Wizard of Oz then you'll see I put silver slippers on her in an attempt to pivot back to a metal backed currency rather than whatever those ruby red slippers could be implying... Her friends from Oz are represented by the Lion, the heart locket she's wearing and the crow.
