Ukiyo-e Samurai Ronin Vintage Japan Antique Tシャツ

A samurai painting by Hoshitoshi Tsukioka (1839-1892), one of the most famous ukiyoe artists of the late Edo and Meiji periods. This is one of a series of "Samurai Warriors" depicting famous warriors in Japanese history. The motif of this ukiyoe is an anecdote about Hojo Tokimasa, who once went to Enoshima to pray to the gods and Buddha for the prosperity of his descendants (sanro: to stay at a shrine or temple for a certain period of time to pray to the gods and Buddha). Ukiyoe, which has historical significance in Japanese traditional culture and Japan, has been wonderfully arranged.
