Title : 根津権現の雪 (Nezu gongen no yuki / ねず ごんげん の ゆき / Snow at Nezu Gongen Shrine) Nezu Shrine is an ancient shrine said to have been founded by 日本武尊 (Yamato Takeru) in Sendagi over 1,900 years ago. Author :川瀬巴水 (Kawase Hasui / かわせ はすい) 川瀬巴水 (Kawase Hasui (May 18, 1883 - November 7, 1957)) was a woodblock print artist active during the Taisho and Showa periods. He established the world of new prints in an attempt to revive the declining Japanese ukiyoe prints. His works were highly acclaimed overseas, and he has been called the "Hiroshige of the Showa period.
