Animals and Nature

I love animals, both tame and wild: cheetahs and octopuses at the zoo, butterflies, my own cats, mischievous squirrels, fawns at Big Meadows in the Blue Ridge Mountains, friendly horses on farms, and so on. Ferns in the forest, autumn leaves in the neighbors' yards, light pouring through frost on my skylight, mountain sunsets—all of nature calls to me and to my artistic endeavors.
