Bears

Polar bears and brown bears are genetically closely related. This is evident from similarity of both species' DNA as well as their anatomy. Another indication of the close relationship between polar bears and brown bears is the fact that they can interbreed and produce hybrid offspring. the polar bear's skull and nose are longer. Polar bears are excellent swimmers, but brown bears cannot swim. Brown bears possess sharper and longer claws for digging and killing prey. Polar bears have a firmer grip for walking on ice. About Teddy bears...Morris Michtom, a Brooklyn candy shop owner, saw the cartoon and had an idea. He and his wife Rose also made stuffed animals, and Michtom decided to create a stuffed toy bear and dedicate it to the President Roosevelt who refused to shoot a bear. He called it 'Teddy's Bear'.
