John Melhuish Strudwick, In the golden days

Designs inspired by an artwork by John Melhuish Strudwick (In the golden days, 1907). John Melhuish Strudwick was a Pre-Raphaelite painter of the Victorian era. He was inspired by Edward Burne-Jones and also worked as his studio assistant in the 1870s. His paintings were done in a blend of Renaissance and medieval styles, with meticulous attention to detail. He employed rich, deep colours. This painting shows three beautiful young women that are making music together.
