Paul Gauguin

Paul Gauguin (1848–1903) was a French Post-Impressionist whose bold colors, simplified forms, and symbolic imagery expanded the possibilities of modern painting. His expressive approach moved beyond naturalism and influenced generations of artists, including the Fauves, Expressionists, and early modernists.
