Photochrom Prints of the Holy Land

Our collection includes some of the most beautiful photochrom prints of the holy land and gives the viewer an idea how the holy land looked like in ancient times. The photos were taken in the 1860s and the 1870s by legendary French photographer, Felix Bonfils and were colorized in the 1890s, using the "photochrom" process : They were sold in the early 1900s and gained huge popularity
