Piet Mondrian Collection

Piet Mondrian (1872-1944) is considered to be one of the most important and influential artists of the 20th century. He developed his style from figurative painting to abstract minimalism whereby he limited his designs to simple geometric lines and elements and the use of only the primary colors of red, yellow and blue, along with the three primary values of black, white and gray. He experimented with many styles along the way including cubism, pointillism and expressionism and is today recognized as one of the forefathers of abstract art, neo-plasticism (a term he coined) and modernism. This collection currently features ten of his paintings displayed as acrylic prints, faux canvas prints, t-shirts, jigsaw puzzles wall clocks, window clings and throw cushions.
