Purple Spotted Swallowtail

Found only in the misty mountains of Papua New Guinea at elevations of 4,500 to 8,000 feet, the Purple Spotted Swallowtail boasts striking splashes of purple, pink, green and blue across its wings. With a wingspan of only three inches, it is one of the smallest swallowtails in its family.
