St. Cyril the Monk (M 002)

St. Cyril (827-869), without his brother St. Methodius (826-885), is the titular patron of many institutions. Although he was named a bishop shortly before his death, it is doubtful that he actually assumed the office. For this reason, he is most often depicted in art as a monk; hence, his appellation here. This depiction also serves to distinguish him from his brother the bishop where the two are represented together. The St. Cyril palette (with hex codes) is a fairly simple one consisting mostly of brown hues. It consists of: gold (#A68303), brown (#693900), red brown (#5B1601), very dark brown (#3C0400), light green (#ACB386), and off white (#CEC196).
