Lateral Striped Pike Cichlid

It is a member of the Cichlids family and is native to the Paraná River basin, in the Paraguay River in Brazil and Paraguay, in the Paraná River drainage in Argentina and the middle Uruguay River drainage in Brazil, South America. It is a carnivorous, bottom-dwelling predator that feeds on small fish, crustaceans, and aquatic insects. It can reach a maximum length of 31 cm (12.2 inches).
