Gray is a prevalent color in Sand Wash Basin and IDing those grays can take hours. I would like to thank Christine, Heather Stella, Thekla, Holly and Aletha for helping me sort out the IDs of the grays featured in the calendar. All grays are born a different color; many are born black and slowly gray out. There is no formula for how fast they gray. It is just as individual as how fast we get gray hair. If a foal has one parent that is gray it has a 50% chance of becoming gray, but if both parents are gray the foal will become gray. All proceeds from the sell of all Wild Herdz products are donated to Wild Horse Warriors for Sand Wash Basin to use to help the wild horses of Colorado.
