We are a group of pissed off residents that find it harder and harder to afford to live in Illinois. The Angry Illinoisan was founded in 2017 after the Illinois House of Representatives overrode Governor Rauner's veto on a 32% income tax increase. Shortly thereafter, the Cook County Board passed the now infamous and short lived “Soda Tax”. After months of pressure the County Board repealed that tax. We believe that the Angry Illinoisan and its members helped stop that bad tax. We are strictly social media based. We will oppose any politician who works to make it more expensive for Illinoisans to live here.
