Baton Rouge Kennel Club

BRKC is an AKC all-breed club serving the greater Baton Rouge area. The club has a long history having been established in 1942. Members reorganized under new leadership in 2012 ushering in a diverse and dedicated group of fanciers who care not only for their dogs but for the greater canine community. To advance the enjoyment and sport of purebred dogs, members meet monthly, host educational lectures, support multiple community and humane initiatives, hold 2 all-breed conformation shows each January, work with newcomers to the sport of showing dogs, advocate on behalf of dogs and dog owners, and educate all ages on responsible dog ownership. Combined, club members represent a wealth of experience on purebreds, showing, handling, training, and much more. And they are happy to share.
