By The Bayou

Hello, my name is Alecia Cairns. I was born in Poplarville, MS and have lived on the Mississippi Gulf Coast my entire life. I am primarily a self taught artist with little or no formal education in any specific art form. My range in style is quite eclectic. Now and again I like to paint in a more realistic or impressionistic style….but; mainly……it simply is whatever is impacting my life at the time. I enjoy looking at a painting that takes me on a trip while giving me something to discover and think about on each visit. I am forever evolving…….funny coming from a person with their education in finance….. I am married to Craig Cairns and we have a beautiful blended family……with a total of 7 children and at this writing, 5 granchildren with one more on the way.. We are in a transitional time in our lives right now due to my 17 year old son recovering from a Traumatic Brain Injury. Being that I am now at home full time taking care of him I am hoping to expand my world of art……reflecting the gratefulness that I have for the life of my son and my wonderful and beautiful family.
