I have been an artist as long as I remember. I always specialized in Portraits and Pastels. I have taken years off from drawing knowing that one day I would return to doing what I love. I've said for many years that I wanted to retire and paint lighthouses. I have dreamed of going to the Outer Banks in NC and taking photos to work from. This June my husband and I took that trip and the photos that I am uploading on here are my inspiration with hopefully lots of artwork to come. We loved the Outer Banks so much we are planning on retiring there one day. Until then we must return and take more amazing photos, so that I can home and paint landscapes that I can be passionate about. I was in awe of these photos once I downloaded the camera after our amazing trip, and felt they are too good not to share. I plan on using many of these photos to paint from in the future.
