Free Spirits need to own who they truly are. They need to embrace their sexual authenticity and to laugh in the face of all those who say that who they are and what they do is taboo. I know this because I’m a free spirit too. Yes, I’ve been poking fun at taboos, in some form or another, for my entire life. Way back when in Art School, studying the body, I learned to appreciate its beauty. Our lumps and bumps, wrinkles and saggy bits only elevating the exquisite loveliness of the subject. Outside Art School though, I found the world a very different place. A place of conformity, and now more than ever, a place where political correctness rules the day and everything is taken oh so seriously. Step out of line and the vultures of social media will tear you to pieces. But something happened in 2013. Adult colouring books began popping up all over the place. They were beautiful, intricate, and all grown up. It was my first time seeing that “regular” people, those that didn’t go to art school, were looking for a creative outlet to express themselves, a chance to set their spirit free. And I saw this as an opportunity. An opportunity to help people explore their creativity in all its forms. I just knew here was the medium for empowerment. I had the power to make people laugh and I could show them just how beautiful we truly are when we embrace our reality, own it, and not take it all so seriously. And once I saw it there was no stopping me and Chubby Art Cartoons was born. At Chubby Art Cartoons I produce hilarious adult colouring books depicting characters of all ages and stages involved in titillating sexual antics. Detailed enough so there is lots to colour, but not so intricate that colouring becomes a chore. Chubby Art Cartoons empowers Free Spirits with the opportunity to release stress, laugh, and to exercise their own imagination, in more ways than one! Because adult colouring is for adults.
