I am a passionate person. This store will reflect those topics: Journalist, Mother, Grandmother, LGBTQ supporter, Political activist, and Marijuana advocate. As a journalist, editor, and an instructor training Youth Reporters, I value the profession and want to further its protections. This store will donate 20 percent of the proceeds to the Reporters Committee for the Freedom of the Press. https://www.rcfp.org/ I work for St. Agatha's The News School, we are a non-profit school. I am on a small stipend. The sales from this store will supplement that and allow me to continue training these up and coming reporters. They attend classes in Chicago, and I am there in a virtual classroom via WebEx. We offer four 8-week sessions each year; after school in the fall, winter, and spring. Then in the summer, there are two classes a day. The training is free, and through a grant, the students receive a weekly stipend. All of the computers, transportation to their news-interview sites are free to them. Each class produces a Magazine.
