Delight in the Mountain is a based on a true story. With strong female protagonists who are not only in a traditional family, one of them is in THE family. They navigate their lives through a host of illegal activities, a kidnapping, a court case and raising chickens. After spending most of her career as a lawyer defending the mob, Anna Maria decides to take a break after losing her last case. Trying to hide from rough mob characters, she moves in temporarily with her mom where she promptly realizes her mother wants nothing to do with her, is growing weed, and makes for an uncomfortable yet loving relationship. Eventually the mob tracks her down, kidnaps her mother, and demands that she argues one more case for them. Anna Maria is asked to defend the son of the mafia boss who has been booked for murder. Not wanting to face the repercussions, she must win.
