概要

I started playing fantasy football at the request of my nephews who created a family league on Yahoo. At the present we average 16 players per season. For anyone who plays FF you know 16 teams is a lot in one league - but we have fun. We mainly have fun making fun of each other throughout the season as well as in the off-season. One of the things we all look forward to is the draft. We like to draft in person if possible because we make a day of it. It generally happens the end of July. Now I know you're saying, "JULY....THAT'S WAY TOO EARLY". It does seem early but due to jobs and other obligations July is the only time we can get the majority (if not everyone) together. One of the players is a college football coach so anytime after July is totally out for him. Hey....it works for us. Draft Day begins with some videos of the previous year, moves into opening statements from the Commish, goes to prayer for thankfulness to God for all our blessings and then starts the draft. Our draft lasts anywhere from six to eight hours. Special things about our draft: 1. Those who made the playoffs the year before get a nice soft chair. Those who didn't get a hard wooden chair. 2. Those who made the playoffs the year before are assigned one person from those who didn't make the playoff the year before to get them a plate of food. This is done one time during the draft and can happen at any time the requester asks. 3. We don't play for money. We play for a stupid trophy that gets passed around, for a soft chair at next years draft and most important....we play for pride and opportunity to "talk" throughout the off-season. DraftStuff is a combination of all the craziness that's already happened, is happening and will happen in the coming years.
