five21, a long time personal brand morphing its way through time from real-world technical training to personal interest sites to real estate endeavors. The name comes from the street address of our long-gone weekend lake house - a small cottage in the saltbox style along the shores of a private lake in northern Illinois. And, the only structure designed by me when I was a practicing Architect. My husband of 28 years and I have been part of the LGBTQIA+ community long before it was legal to call him my husband. During our lifetimes, we’ve seen a lot of changes and are appreciative to all those that came before us and all those that fought for our current legal rights. This store is designed to celebrate the community’s progress and to help to continue its growth in whatever way possible.
