FolkSalad

Folk Salad Certified Organic Music is a National Public Radio music show produced in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Since October 3, 1999, Scott Aycock and Richard Higgs have independently produced and hosted Folk Salad in the studios of Public Radio Tulsa. Folk Salad is a one-hour music program. We play an eclectic mix of Folk, Singer/songwriter, Americana, Roots, Bluegrass, Blues and more. Although we play music from around the United States, we place a particular emphasis on singers and songwriters from the Midwest, both established artists and the up and coming. We provide music lovers an alternative to the generic sound of corporate radio, and we give Oklahoma and surrounding areas’ talented musicians a deserved place on their own airwaves.
