Welcome to my store! My name is Jane I'm from Manchester, UK and I make art to increase your dopamine levels! I’m a mixed media artist, predominantly using watercolour, fineliner, and acrylic. But I’m experimenting with lots of different mediums and techniques so who knows what will be next! I’ve always loved art and as a kid was prolific in making it and consuming it, but stopped making at high school age. I also have aphantasia (no ‘minds eye’) which I only realised recently. This means I can’t visualise images in my mind while I’m creating art. It’s really helped to know this. I use photos, draw from real life or use online images to prompt my art nowadays and that seems to help. My recent foray back into art is prompted by attending a local art group weekly. I initially attended not knowing what would come out on the page, I just hoped I would carve out some ‘me’ time and it would be a therapeutic tool to help with my mental health. I’m now really enjoying making my own original art and I'm making up for the 30 years I took a break from art for sure! Themes I gravitate towards are usually nature and animals, I love vintage designs and images and anything kitch or quirky. I live in Manchester with my wife of 11 years and our adopted 9 year old son. Oh and our two Spanish rescue dogs who are just as eccentric and individual as the rest of us in the house.
