Losing a loved one is hard. Harder than anything. Sometimes I think of the ways other cultures grieve and it is a grieving everyone can see. I’d like to bring a little bit of that back into our lives. In 2020 we lost my dad, my grandpa, and in December lost my husband of 15 years to suicide. So many have lost so many, even losing one feels like the end of the world sometimes. I have always been intrigued by other cultures’ ceremonies and traditions and the Victorian ways of mourning are some I would like to partake in. Maybe others would, too.
