Welcome to the Homegrown National Park Store! HNP is a science-based, grassroots movement to solve the biodiversity crisis - a unique and massive cooperative conservation project. Our mission is based on HNP co-founder Professor Doug Tallamy’s research and his New York Times best-selling book “Nature’s Best Hope”. Spoiler Alert: Each and every one of US is nature’s best hope! We can solve the biodiversity crisis - a crisis caused by loss of habitat due to development and invasive species - by planting native plants and creating new habitats. No experience is necessary to take action and if you do - you will light yourself and others up like our firefly icon. If each one of us plant natives in any bit of soil, whether it’s in a container on a balcony or roof, in a yard, or on a campus, we will create habitats that provide wildlife with a place to live and flourish. In turn, they will provide the ecosystem services which we humans need to survive! Join us and spread the word by checking out our yard signs, hats, water bottles, and tote.
