This store exists due to the artwork of the late Judith Leighton of Blue Hill, Maine. At 50 she opened her gallery there and over 30 very successful years, on the rocky coast of a corner state in America, she lived and breathed art until she died. Her gallery, pit against every other in the state, ones in cities many thousands past the population of her small town, was voted the best in the state by the Maine Times' readers and was cited in leading art magazines as "one of the best galleries on the East Coast."
