Hi, I'm Charlene, the artist behind Jakaranda. I've always been happiest outdoors—walking my dog, admiring Australia's incredible birdlife, or stopping to photograph a beautiful flower or tree. Those everyday moments are where almost all of my ideas begin. Back in my studio, I transform those little moments of inspiration into hand-drawn illustrations and seamless patterns that celebrate the beauty, colour and character of Australian nature. From playful cockatoos and cheeky magpies to delicate gum blossoms, jacarandas and native wildflowers, every design is created with the hope of bringing a little joy into someone's home. My artistic style is inspired by the bold colours and geometric simplicity of mid-century design, combined with a modern, whimsical Australian feel.
