The Jefferson Amateur Radio Club(JARC) is located in Metairie, Louisiana, in the New Orleans metro area. Since 1956 JARC has been dedicated to the preservation of the amatuer radio hobby as well as serving our community in times of need. JARC operates under the call sign of W5GAD and has several VHF/UHF repeaters to include Analog, Fusion and D-STAR systems. Our club station in Wally Pontiff Jr. Playground is equipped with a variety of HF, VHF and UHF radios. JARC is also a Volunteer Exam Coordinator offering monthly amatuer radio test sessions.
